Cleckheaton Music Centre
"Community Centre"- Several adults in all groups. Music Centre groups have toured Germany and Iceland. They regularly compete in Festivals and competitions and participation in Masterclasses is encouraged.
How long before my child can join?
Needs to have finished tutor book.
How old does my child have to be?
Any age. We have age six to sixty plus.
For how long would my child stay in each group?
Every child is different. Their progress is monitored by both the conductor and their teacher.
How often do the groups/bands perform and is there a special uniform to wear?
The groups perform at least three times a year. Each group has its own uniform.
How much practice is expected of the members of the groups?
Occasionally members need to take music home to practice, but mostly it is learned at rehearsals.
Does the Music Centre have any instruments available for loan?
There are a few instruments available at the Music Centre.
