Kirklees Percussion Ensembles

The ensemble has met with outstanding success at the National Festival of Music for Youth with performances at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the final Schools' Prom Concerts.

The Junior Percussion Ensemble have also had the honour of performing on Blue Peter and have their badges as proof!

The Senior Percussion Ensemble also form the nucleus of the percussion section of the Kirklees Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Entry is by application or invitation and rehearsals take place on Friday evenings.

World Percussion Group

The World Percussion Group has been set up to meet a growing need for non-western music and involves percussion music from all over the world - Ireland to Africa.

The percussion group was featured at the Millenium Dome in Greenwich in October 2000 and draws its performers from schools throughout Kirklees. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays between 5:00 and 6:00pm.
