Saxophones Trip to Whitby

Huddersfield Music Centre Saxophone Ensemble.

On Sunday 9th September the HMC Saxophone ensemble and guests made a trip over to Whitby North Yorkshire. The sax group performed in the Whitby Harbor Band Stand to the general public. The ensemble performed three times throughout the day, repertoire included jazz, pop, film themes and classical repertoire.

The excellent weather brought the crowd out and the sax group played to a very appreciative audience. In between performances the sax group went on a bicycle made for 8 around the West Cliff, we played crazy golf and enjoyed fresh fish and chips. This has become an annual event and next year the group have been requested to perform at Scarborough lifeboat station and Whitby Band stand on the same day a double performance which is a two yearly event.

Any saxophone players who are grade 4 , enjoy a relaxed but hard working rehearsal, numerous concerts, trips & tours are welcome to come along to Huddersfield Music Centre any Thursday evening 5.00pm - 6.15pm and join our friendly ensemble.
