What happens if I miss a lesson?

Music lessons are great fun, but it is important never to miss any because it can be very hard trying to catch up. Always try your best to catch up as soon as possible. If you cannot get to a lesson, make sure that your instrumental teacher knows.

What can I do to help my progress?

The following points will help you to succeed.

  • Practise regularly and enjoy it. Daily practice is best.
  • Go to every lesson on time with your music, diary and instrument.
  • Listen carefully to your teacher and try to follow instructions and advice.

What can I do if I have problems?

Don't wait

Talk to one of the following people straight away:

  • Your instrumental teacher
  • Your class teacher
  • Your parents or carers

Can I play or sing in a band, choir, group or orchestra?

Yes

KMS has many different groups. These are provided to allow you to get the most enjoyment from your lessons. They are great fun and they develop musical skills enormously. When you achieve enough skill you will be asked to join one of the groups at your local music centre.
